Albert Quay, Fowey, Cornwall

The Ultimate Cornish Kayaking Adventures

Kayak safaris are extremely popular, booking in advance is highly recommended to avoid disappointment. Our most up to date availability is listed below.

The Fowey Estuary runs inland up as far as Lostwithiel, and branches off to Lerryn, Penpoll and Pont as its tributary creeks. With over 25 miles of pristine shoreline to discover,  these sheltered water ways are perfect for us to explore. Often silent, private place’s where old boats go to die and veteran oak trees dangle their branches into the water. The deep water lower harbour is an important cruising port on the south coast of Cornwall and you'll often see cruise liners and luxury yachts visiting. The river is always teeming with marine wildlife. Its thought that Kenneth Grahame got the inspiration for The Wind in the Willows while messing about on the river Fowey.

Kayak Safaris are suitable for all ages & abilities as the river Fowey is gentle in nature. Our experienced team will escort you on a very memorable journey that has amazing sights and intersting tales about our area of outstanding natural beauty. We use stable open cockpit tamdem canoes. Single's are available for odd numbers, but are much less stable. We do not want you to get wet and we rarely experience a capsize, but they can happen. All of our tours unless stated are accompanied by a safety boat that will quietly marshall and watch over you as you paddle, giving you absolute reassurance at all times.

Price includes the equipment, paddles and buoyancy aids. It is simple to book online. You just choose a month & date, add the number of participants and checkout. All young person’s under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. We advise a one adult to one young child as a ratio.
