Kayak hire

By far our most popular activity! We help thousands of paddlers each year explore the magic of Fowey Harbour. We’ll brief you for a bit of safety and help plan you route before you paddle off to enjoy some of Britain’s most breathtaking scenery. 

The kayak hire experience involves fun and adventure and you can cover the entire Fowey estuary depending on the tide. We will advise you on the best route that encircle’s the harbour creating a spectacular loop, including a conveniently located mid point break.

Take a look at our map for routes and trails to suite your ability. Each trail will have awesome sights to see, amazing wildlife and leave you with sense of epic achievement.

This activity is designed for experienced Paddlers! For independent hire one of you must have some experience and at least one of your group must be over eighteen years of age. We recommend a 1-1 ratio for children under eight. With all our Hires you can explore as much of the river Fowey as you like, but you must not go beyond the harbour limits and out to sea.

All 2023 Hire prices include the Fowey Harbour Commissioners safety register and licence fee.

Preparing yourself for kayaking

You will get damp as it is inevitable you will throw water on yourself with the paddles. Light casual clothes are ideal, defiantly not jeans and depending on the weather wetsuits can be too hot. We can store your valuables and have dry bags for you to take afloat.

Am Hires start from 10am and must be returned by 1pm - Pm Hires start from 1pm and must be returned by 4.30pm - Hire's outside these time's are available on request.
